HAND HELD ELECTRONIC INSPECTION TABLET

Bison Rail Systems participated on a team that worked directly with Metro-North Railroad to determine the requirements for a hand-held electronic inspection tablet to automate reporting for field equipment installation and maintenance, as well as safety reporting and trouble ticket responses.

Bison Rail Systems specific tasks were to translate railroad requirements to the software designer and to evaluate hand held tablet display screens, as well as central monitoring dashboard screens and assist engineers with functionality assessment of the device and then assist with installing the device in the field and providing field support.

Bison Rail Systems supporting Metro-North supervisory and maintenance forces throughout the demonstration of the tablet and formally trained maintenance personnel in the use of the tablet.
