As part of the Hudson Springfield Line modernization program AMTRAK performed various system upgrades. As part of this project, Bison Rail was contracted to perform the following activities: 

• Spare relay contact counts 

• Power Capacity Study 

• Signal room capacity calculations 

• Track circuit installation 

• Transponder installation 

• WIU installation 

• PTC System Testing (wayside and vehicle integration)
