RAIL CONTROL CENTER UPGRADE
Wrote Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.) for the new Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) functions for the Blue Line (Dearborn) Rail & Power Controllers. Wrote CTC-related updates to the CTA Rule Book for Rail & Power Controllers.
Wrote a training manual instructing Rail & Power Controllers on the use of the Blue Line CTC System.
Worked on the signals design and contract management team for the Howard Interlocking Vital Processor and Tower Control Panel upgrade project to assist with developing specifications, design drawings; answer bid-related questions from contractors. Provide engineering support for design and product submittals.
Modified the current signals fiber optic network design to include more reliable devices for serial to Ethernet conversion and to harden the system against electrical surges, electrical spikes, low power, and power failure conditions. Updated signal maintenance procedures for all wayside hardware.
